Cookies & third parties
This site sets no cookies of its own. There is no consent banner because there is nothing on our side to consent to — but three other parties see your request, and this page names all of them.
What we set: nothing
The pages here are static files. Our own code writes no cookie, no local storage and no session storage, and there is no login, no cart, no saved preference and no form to remember. Nothing you do on this site is recorded by us in your browser.
Loaded on every page view, before you click anything
These are fetched by your browser as the page renders. None of them sets a cookie, but each receives your IP address, browser user-agent and the page you are on, because that is how an HTTP request works.

Measurement
Each page carries a small script that counts which outbound links get used, so we can tell which recommendations are worth keeping. When it fires it records the page you were on, which link you clicked, the domain that link points at, the link's own visible text, and one event if you read to the bottom of a page. It stores nothing in your browser, and it never sees a name, an email address or a payment detail, because the site never asks for one.
That script only reports anywhere if an analytics layer is switched on for this domain at
our host. A Google Analytics property is configured for this domain, so Google's gtag.js is served on every page and Google may set its own cookies in your browser — _ga and _ga_<id>, which distinguish one browser from another for visit counting. Pageview sending is disabled in our configuration; the tag carries the click events described above. Block them with any content blocker, or with the browser controls named at the foot of this page.
There is no advertising or retargeting on this site at all: no Meta pixel, no TikTok pixel, no Google Ads remarketing tag, no audience list you can be added to here.
Affiliate cookies — set after you click, and not by us
Follow one of the booking, tour, hotel, eSIM, flight, transfer, scooter or insurance links and you pass through the partner's own redirect. That partner sets a cookie in your browser so that a purchase made later is credited back to this site. We never see that cookie and we cannot read it. What comes back to us is a count and a commission — never your name, your email address or your payment details.

Links that pay us nothing
“Open in Google Maps” appears on every restaurant page, and the MICHELIN Guide links appear on eighteen of them. Neither earns a commission and neither is set up by us to track you — but following any link hands the destination your IP address and referring page, as every link on the web does.
Server logs
Cloudflare keeps standard access logs for us — IP address, user-agent, the URL requested — for security and abuse prevention. The retention period is our host's, not ours: we do not set it, extend it, read those logs for anything else, join them to any other data, or sell or share them.
How to refuse any of this
We will be straight with you: there is no toggle on this site, because there is nothing of ours to toggle. Everything above is either a request your browser makes to fetch a page, or a cookie a third party sets after you choose to go to it. Your browser's settings will block third-party cookies, and a content blocker will stop the fonts, the photographs and the measurement script from loading at all. The only thing you lose by blocking any of it is the affiliate credit that keeps this guide free — the guide itself works either way.
